Miracles of St. Vincent Ferrer

Imahe
HOW SAINT VINCENT FERRER CONVINCED A MAN WHO HIS CHILD WAS Saint Vincent performed another miracle at Gerona, where he met a man that accused his wife of infidelity, near him was his wife with an infant in her arms, still at the breast and much to small to walk or understand speech. The man was devoured by a frenzy of jealousy. Brother Vincent saw him, saw what fire burned in him, and preached upon Jealousy. Suddenly he turned to the man . “You doubt your wife’s faithfulness, do you not? You think this child is not yours? Well, watch!” Then he cried in a great voice to the child: “Embrace your father!” The infant stirred, stood upright, turned towards the man and held out its arms. And thus was the man cured and the family peace restored. SAINT VINCENT FERRER BRINGS MURDERED BABY BACK TO LIFE The father of a certain child had given Vincent lodging while he was on a missionary journey. His wife, a virtuous woman, suffered from bad attacks of nerves, and at times was...

Apostolic Success of St. Vincent Ferrer Among the Mahometans

Imahe
The Mahometans, like the Jews, were spread throughout different parts of Spain. In proportion as the noble-hearted Spaniards recovered possession of their provinces which had been subjugated by Saracen invasion, they re-established Christianity in all its rights, and favored by every means in their power the conversion of the followers of Mahomet, who dwelt in the country. There were many, however, who resisted this influence. Like the Jews, they were possessed of wealth and industry; it was necessary, therefore, to deal gently with them. St. Vincent labored with all his might to reclaim them from their unclean errors; he spared neither suffering nor fatigue to lead them to the saving waters of baptism. And to this end, wherever he preached he compelled the Mahometans, by the king's order, to be present at his discourses, reserving for them, as in the case of the Jews, the most convenient places. But why constrain such people to hear him, since the law of Mahomet especially ...

Daily Offering of the Most Precious Blood

Imahe
REMEMBER IT ONLY TAKES ONE MORTAL SIN TO SEND SOMEONE TO HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY SO WHAT GREAT MERIT WE ACHIEVE BEFORE OUR LORD JESUS FOR STOPPING SUCH AN INFINITE EVIL ACT FROM HAPPENING TO OUR LORD WHO IS HOLINESS AND GOODNESS ITSELF.  With a contrite and a pure and loving heart say: MARY, Immaculate Mother of Jesus, offer, we beseech Thee, to the Eternal Father, the Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, to prevent at least one mortal sin from being committed somewhere in the world this day (night). How a Man Who Stopped Two Mortal Sins From Being Committed Eqaled the Merits of a Saint St. Paphnutius had for many years lived in a desert and labored at his sanctification by austere works of penance. Once a peculiar thought came to his mind, and he dared to express it to God in prayer. He petitioned the Lord, in all humility and simplicity, to reveal to him a person who had the same degree of merit as he himself. God deigned to grant his request, and He gave Paphnutius to understan...

The Divinity of Christ

Imahe
Is Christ God? Does the Bible justify His divinity? Is Christ just a "Son of God" but as to it not a "God the Son"? Let us look at some of the verses in the Bible that provides evidences on the divine nature of our Lord as a TRUE GOD. First, from the prophecies of the Old Testament Prophets, Christ was already declared on His Godly divinity. "Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, His name shall be called Emmanuel (i.e., God with us)" (Is. 7, 14 [Douai]); "For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Is. 9, 6); These verses clearly speaks of a child to be born by a virgin, and deny it or not, we know that the Bible tells us that the VIRGIN who GAVE BIRTH to CHILD was no other than the BLESSED VIRGIN MARY and the child was JESUS Himself (see the gospels). A virgin shall bear a child and that c...
